Peeping Tom in Johor wears hijab and nail polish to enter women's toilet

A Peeping Tom in Johor was arrested on Sunday (Oct 22) for sneaking into a female toilet at a Johor mall to allegedly record women inside.

Disguised as a woman and wearing a hijab, feminine footwear and painted toe nails, the 23-year-old suspect was able to sneak into the women's toilet unnoticed, reported the New Straits Times.

In a 2-minute clip of the incident shared on X by Jabatan Netizen Malaysia, the suspect can be seen held down by a male employee of the store.

In the video, a woman's voice can be heard demanding the suspect for his phone's passcode so that she can check the videos filmed of the women in the toilet.

"Give me the password now! Don't you dare lie or else I will smack you!" she said.

Jabatan wrote that the suspect had more than 40 recordings taken inside a female toilet on his phone.

'I'm so embarrassed'

As the man's phone was getting checked, others in the store asked the man to reveal the disguise that he used to enter the women's toilet.

"I don't know why my brain is like this today. I'm so embarrassed," he said after showing his hijab and sandals.

Ashamed by his actions, the man shared that he was married and begged to be released.

Johor police released a statement on Monday (Oct 23) saying that a man, 23, was arrested for entering a women's toilet at the Kip Mall in Masai, Pasir Gudang.

He had no past criminal offences, according to Johor police.

The man has been charged under Section 377D over gross indecency and if found guilty, will face a two-year jail term, the police added.

Investigations are ongoing.
