Try Windows 8 "Enterprise" edition for 90 days
(MoneyWatch) Microsoft's (MSFT) Windows 8 platform is scheduled to be commercially released on October 29. While a preview of the consumer version has been ready for download for some time, you can now try the "Enterprise" edition as well.
Microsoft has posted the Windows 8 Enterprise edition on its development network platforms site, where you can download it for a 90-day trial. You can get both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 8 in about a dozen different languages, including Chinese, French, German, Spanish and Japanese.

Before you get started, it's important to know that this evaluation is something of a one-way ticket. The trial lasts for 90 days and can't be extended. Also, you can't roll this installation back to Windows 7, so your only option is to "flatten" the machine and reinstall another operating system.
My recommendation? If you want to try Windows 8 Enterprise, do it on a secondary PC that is not running any mission critical apps or housing any important data.
