'Dance Moms' star Christi Lukasiak arrested on DUI charge, refused blood test

Former "Dance Moms" star Christi Lukasiak is facing a driving under the influence charge stemming from an accident last month.

The mother of Chloé Lukasiak — who was an original cast member on the Lifetime reality show for four seasons — was charged with a DUI in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, in June, according to court records. News of the charge surfaced Tuesday, as TMZ first reported.

According to the Murrysville Police Department, via the arresting department's news release, Lukasiak "refused to submit to a blood draw to determine her blood alcohol content."

If convicted, this would be Lukasiak's first DUI offense within the Pennsylvania look-back period, which is 10 years. Lukasiak was also charged with operating a vehicle without valid inspection, exceeding 35 mph in an urban district by 5 mph and an unspecified Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission violation, all of which she pleaded guilty to.

For the DUI charge, Lukasiak, 47, is due back in court for a preliminary hearing next month.

The Lukasiaks starred in Seasons 1 through 4 of "Dance Moms," which followed a Pittsburgh (and later Los Angeles) dance studio run by controversial choreographer Abby Lee Miller, as well as her dancers and their parents.

Earlier this year, the cast of an iconic reality TV staple returned to the small screen for "Dance Moms: The Reunion."

"Dance Moms" originally lasted for eight seasons, and a ninth season of the series was never confirmed. A spinoff, "Abby’s Virtual Dance Off," was canceled in 2020 after a former "Dance Moms" star came out with accusations of racism against Miller.

Along with Lukasiak and her daughter Chloé Lukasiak, the now-grown-up dancers Brooke Hyland, JoJo Siwa, Paige Hyland, Kalani Hilliker, Kendall Vertes and moms Jessalynn Siwa, Kelly Hyland, Jill Vertes and Kira Hilliker returned to Lifetime for a rehashing of "Dance Moms" most dramatic moments and a conversation about life since then. Noticeably absent from the reunion cast was Miller.
