Amy Schumer deletes Instagram post making fun of Nicole Kidman at the US Open

Amy Schumer seems to be walking back the memes she made out of celebrities' U.S. Open tennis tournament reactions, including one with Nicole Kidman.

The comedian reportedly shared a since-deleted post to Instagram showing the "Moulin Rouge!" actress sitting in the stands at the New York event on Sept. 9 and captioned the image, "This how human sit," according to Us Weekly, The Independent and TV Insider.

In the photo, Kidman was watching the Sept. 9 women's final match between Coco Gauff and Aryna Sabalenka, rapt, with her hand under her chin.

On Monday, Schumer reportedly also posted − and deleted − an Instagram apology parody that referenced Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, who have been in hot water recently over character letters they wrote in support of their "That '70s Show" co-star Danny Masterson. He was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison last week after he was found guilty of two counts of rape.

"I want to apologize to all the people I hurt posting a photo of Nicole Kidman and alluding to her being an alien," Schumer wrote in an Instagram post, according to Entertainment Weekly. "I will be asking the cast of That '70s Show to write letters advocating for my forgiveness."

USA TODAY has reached out to a representative for Schumer for comment.

Schumer didn't exempt herself from ridicule, though. The "Trainwreck" star also poked fun at the expressions she made during one of the matches while watching with husband Chris Fischer. Over the weekend, she posted a photo of herself making a shocked face and added the text "I have no uterus," according to People magazine.

In 2021, Schumer had her uterus and appendix removed during surgery to address her endometriosis.

The comic is known for her self-deprecating humor and not holding back when making making jokes about fellow celebrities. In her latest Netflix standup special, “Emergency Contact," Schumer called getting liposuction “the laziest thing” she’s ever done and also did a segment on Alec and Hilaria Baldwin, poking fun at the latter's false claims of being from Spain.
